Tech Donation Checklist
• Backup important files before resetting
• Log out of Apple ID / Google / Microsoft accounts
• Remove SIM cards or SD cards
• Factory reset device
• Leave device powered off after reset
• Place device and accessories together
• Include power adapters if available
Accepted Devices
We accept working and gently-used electronics and STEM gear only. All items should be tested before drop-off if possible. Items must power on and be free of cracked screens that impair use.
• Laptops, Chromebooks, desktop computers, tablets, e-readers
• Monitors (LED/HD, 22–27”, with power cable)
• Gaming consoles and handheld systems (Nintendo Switch, PS4, Xbox One era)
• Controllers, VR headsets, gaming accessories
• Smart speakers, Bluetooth speakers, noise-canceling headphones
• STEM & Maker gear: Arduino/Raspberry Pi kits, robotics kits, 3D printers, drones
• Printers (with working ink/toner), projectors (good bulb life)
• Graphing calculators (TI-84, TI-89, etc.), wireless keyboards and mice
• Cables, chargers, and accessories (bundled with devices preferred)
⚠ Items We Cannot Accept
CRT monitors or TVs • Items that do not power on • Devices with severe physical damage • Items missing critical components (e.g., tablet with no charger and dead battery) • Personal data not wiped (we will wipe if asked)
Wipe Directions
Important Notes
• Backup any files you want to keep before wiping the device.
• Keep the device plugged into power during the reset process.
• Remove SIM cards, SD cards, or external storage.
• Log out of Apple ID, Google, or Microsoft accounts if possible.
Windows Laptops and Desktop Computers
• Open the Start Menu
• Go to Settings
• Select System
• Choose Recovery
• Click Reset this PC
• Select Remove Everything
• Choose Remove files and clean the drive
Apple MacBook / iMac
• Click the Apple Menu
• Select System Settings
• Choose General
• Click Transfer or Reset
• Select Erase All Content and Settings
iPads and iPhones
• Open Settings
• Tap General
• Select Transfer or Reset
• Tap Erase All Content and Settings
Android Tablets and Phones
• Open Settings
• Select System
• Tap Reset Options
• Choose Erase All Data (Factory Reset)
Chromebooks
• Sign out of the Chromebook
• Press Ctrl + Alt + Shift + R
• Select Powerwash
• Confirm reset
Printers and Projectors
• Navigate to Settings or Setup Menu
• Select Restore Factory Defaults
• Confirm reset
